Rocco husky/spitzs mix

Hi! I'm Rocco! I was saved from a high kill shelter and now I'm looking for my new and loving forever home! Yes, I'm a handsome boy and I LOVE to cuddle! I have one blue eye! I'm approx. 3 years old and approx. 30 pounds(5/16/18). I'm a little shy at first but warm up quickly and become very sweet, loving, friendly and a little playful. You'll see how

Thank you for your interest in one of our rescue pets!  We are accepting applications on the pet that you are inquiring about.

If you would like to have our newest available pets sent directly to your inbox every Saturday morning, visit our website carolinacaninerescuenc.com and sign up for our newsletter.

If you are an Amazon shopper, please consider shopping for the same products on AmazonSmile to help support our rescue. AmazonSmile will donate .5% of your purchase price to our rescue. Simply click on Carolina Canine Rescue when prompted.  (if you would like more information about AmazonSmile, please google  http://smile.amazon.com/about  )

In the interest of time, we use a lot of form letters, but once your application is approved, we are happy to speak with you (although email is the easiest method of contact).  We will also give you the fosters phone number for the pet you are interested in.  We encourage you to call them and watch that pets video on our YouTube prior to making an adoption committment.  We adopt out of state and into Canada.  Easy,  affordable transportation is available in the northeastern states.

We prefer applications via email, but IF YOU FAX YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE EMAIL TO LET US KNOW  (866-927-9756)  Applications can be found at  carolinacaninerescuenc.com
Please email this address and let us know if you have submitted an application. Sometimes the applications do not arrive as they should. We are working on this problem but do not want to miss anyone's application.

***Please be sure and read our FAQ page on our website before placing your application.

Adoption Fee $300 The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, heartworm testing, DHPP and rabies vaccines, certificate of health from our veterinarian, Frontline flea treatment, and deworming.

Transport fee: Dogs under 25 lbs - $100 (paid to transporter, not our rescue)
Dogs over 25 lbs - $100 -$125 The transporter does reduce the fee if adopting more than one pet in the same household.

If you place an application, be sure that you hit the submit button at the end of the application. You will then be directed to a page indicating that your application was received. If you are not directed to this page after completing your application, please let us know because that means your application was not received.

**** BE SURE YOU NOTIFY YOUR VET WE WILL BE CALLING FOR INFO OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED!!  ***   . We need the information for the vet that has provided long term care for your current/previous pet(s).  We do not need to know the vet that you plan to use.  If you do not have a previous vet, please leave the vet section blank.

*Please note that we may have other applications pending for the pet you applied to adopt. We try to find the best match for each dog and family.  Once we email you that your application is approved we hold that pet specifically for you (24-36 hrs) until we hear from you.

Before applying, please consider if the breed/size you are interested in are appropriate for your situation.  We recommend that you visit and read the first seven chapters of this free ebook (don't worry-its a short book  )                  http://static.squarespace.com/static/523855d5e4b006dbfe591e4d/t/52fb67be...  This ebook can help you decide if the dog/puppy you are interested in will be the right pet for you.  It also explains, in general, how rescue groups operate, why applications are required, and why adoption fees are required.  Once approved, we ask that your read the remainder of the ebook to help you prepare for your new pets arrival.  We want your adoption to be a successful experience for you AND your pet.  We also recommend that you enroll puppies and adult dogs in obedience classes or arrange one on one lessons (especially for older puppies/adult dogs) to be sure everyone starts out on the right foot!

R I am in my video! I'm great with older kids and other dogs. Small kids might be too rambunctious and scare me because I'm so gentle and submissive. I haven't been tested with cats. I'm highly intelligent and mind well, inside and out. I'm house and leash trained. I'm not a barker and come when called. I know a few commands. I have a medium energy level. I'm laid back and easy going. I really enjoy being petted and loved on! I like to sleep on a dog bed or beside my human. We could go for walks, hiking or play in the yard. If you're looking for a sweet, super loving, furry companion that loves to cuddle, then look no further! I'm ready to learn new things and finally live the good life I so richly deserve! I'd love to be an exciting addition to your wonderful life! Belly rubs are a must!
