My name is Susie! I weigh approximately 25 lbs. and I am 7 to 8 months old (10/20). I was turned into the local County Animal Shelter with my brother, Baxter, by our previous owner. I don't really know why because we are both so sweet! We are fostered in Mount Airy, NC but easy affordable transportation is available. We love attention and being petted. We are smart and we have very happy dispositions - our tail wags almost constantly! We had our first introduction to toys in the rescue group. We didn't know what to do with it so I just ignored it. We do enjoy playing with other dogs, sticks, and leaves though. We get really excited when we see our foster coming back after being gone. We also had our first introduction to treats, but I was more interested in being petted and loved on. We love everybody and we expect everybody to love us! We will need daily exercise. We would be great for a runner or someone with an active lifestyle. I am a little smaller than Baxter and a little more active. I'm just the right size to go in a boat or go camping. We do need some leash work. We have never been on a leash until coming into the rescue. We really didn't like it very much, but came around a little with some practice. We would probably do better with a harness. We are working on house training. We are both ready and waiting to go to our new homes. We can be adopted together or separate. We are not a bonded pair but get along great.
