She’s doing GREAT! We absolutely love her and she’s loving life in Vermont. She never seems to tire from walks in the city, but over the weekends I usually take her to my parents house and they live in a very rural, forested mountain top and we’ve been able to tire her out by going on long hikes in the woods. She LOVES to run! That missing foot doesn’t slow her down. She’s faster than my dads golden retriever.
She’s been to the vet and she’s doing great health wise.
She’s not showing any sign of separation anxiety, but she’s not left home alone often. And when she is, she’s in my bedroom with her toys and a Kong and a deer antler to chew on (we’ve got quite a big collection of toys! She loves them!) so she’s never bored.
I’ve attached a couple photos. Just wanted to update you on how she’s doing and let you know that we are a definitive success story and penny has a very ‘happy tail’!
In this photo it was -31 degrees. She handled it like a champ.
