Hi! My name is Athena. I am 1.5-2 yo and weigh about 45 lbs. I was turned into the rescue because my owners moved away and left me in a dog lot. A friend of the family was coming over and feeding me every day. I lived in the house till I was about 6 months old and then put in a dog lot. Now that I am in the rescue, I get to come indoors. Yippee! The last couple of weeks I have been working with a trainer and I am quickly learning to heel, sit, give paw, not to jump on people, and basic obedience. I am working on house training and learning to go to my "place". I'm very treat oriented and take treats gently. I learn very quickly and I'm eager to please. I need a home with someone that can provide plenty of daily exercise for me. I would love to continue my training so that I can be the best companion possible. The rescue would really like for me to go to a family with Husky experience. I need a fenced yard so that I can run around and play. A playmate would be great also! I get along well with other dogs. I am a sweet, loving girl, and absolutely love to be petted. I'm happy to take all of the attention that I can get! I met one of the volunteers in a wheelchair, and had no fear of her. I went right to her and sniffed her chair and let her pet me. I am patiently waiting for my right forever home!
