Sam URGENT

My name is Sam! I am approximately 1 yo and I weigh approximately 45 lbs. I am fostered in Ararat, Virginia but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was found as a stray by some very nice people that are eager to find a home for me. I'm not yet neutered so my adoption fee is only $50 (the cost to take me to the vet for a health check . Neuter vouchers are available through Friends of Animals for under $100). I will have an updated rabies vaccine. dhpp vaccine, and will be tested for heartworms and Lyme's disease before being adopted. I am scheduled to be neutered in August but the people fostering me cannot keep me that long. The rescue is trying very hard to find a home for me before I have to go to the County Animal Shelter (which is not a no-kill shelter). I love to be with people and will follow my temporary fosters around the yard. I am well behaved in the house. I do not get on the furniture and I happily follow my person from room to room. I will lay at their feet when they sit down. I do not get in the trash or counter-surf. I am house trained and will ask to go outside if I need to potty. I come when called and I will also come to just a slight whistle. I am good with children and am very gentle. When outside I never leave the yard, wander into the street, or chase cars. I don't chase the birds or the squirrels. I have a low to medium energy range. I get along well with other dogs and really enjoy playing with them. I am very intelligent and a quick learner. I ride well in the car and I love the water.  I rarely bark, if at all. My fosters have not heard me bark yet. I greet strangers with a wagging tail. There are two more videos of me on the rescue website. I am practically the perfect pet and will make somebody a great companion!
